We’re thrilled to announce that all vendor slots for the Lovebug Vintage Market have been filled—it’s officially time to party!

We’ve got so much in store for you, friends. @memoryhoard and I have been working on some amazing plans for this event. Expect a little bit of everything: charms, records, vintage clothing, and so much more.

And, of course, you know my vibe—I’ll be bringing a ton of Black History memorabilia and clothing for you lovebugs. This time, I’ve even included some family photos in the mix, which truly brings me so much joy to share with you all.

In the midst of all this craziness, I’ve decided to highlight some incredible Black leaders who have made history and shaped the future. If you didn’t already know, I’ve got a massive collection of Black history t-shirts, memorabilia, and more, and over the next few weeks, I’ll be spotlighting some of my personal favorites.

First up, let’s talk about Harold Washington, Chicago’s first Black mayor, elected in 1983. Washington’s leadership brought a wave of change to the city, prioritizing inclusivity, equity, and community. His campaign for mayor represented hope and progress, and this vintage campaign shirt is a true gem from that time. The slogan “Punch 8 for Washington” reminds us of the grassroots energy and determination it took to break barriers.

Harold Washington’s legacy continues to inspire, reminding us that representation and bold leadership matter. These shirts are more than just fabric—they’re a piece of history, a testament to the movement that helped transform Chicago.

I can’t wait to keep sharing these treasures and stories with you as we gear up for Black History Month—my favorite holiday! Let’s celebrate together and keep history alive.

Black history holds a deeply significant place in my heart. It’s not just about preserving its presence in our country’s narrative but actively celebrating it through the items I collect and share with all of you. Martin Luther King Jr. Day serves as a time to honor a remarkable man who not only advocated for change but crafted it with extraordinary grace and kindness.

Growing up, it was sometimes hard for me to understand how peace could be a weapon against injustice. Dr. King’s approach showed me that responding with dignity and compassion is a profound act of strength. It’s a way of honoring our history while envisioning a brighter, more just future. His unwavering belief in kindness as a tool for change continues to inspire me to this day.

I am forever grateful to Dr. King for setting a standard of leadership for Black people—a standard rooted in education, faith, and perseverance. Today, as we witness shifts in our nation’s leadership and the ripple effects impacting so many communities, it’s easy to feel discouraged. But Dr. King’s legacy reminds us that even in uncertain times, kindness and compassion must remain our guiding principles. They are the foundation for lasting change and equality.

Let’s take a page from his book and treat one another with respect, recognizing our shared humanity. No matter how divided things may seem, we must remember that every person deserves dignity and the right to live freely. The world lost a great man, but his message lives on. Thank you, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., for your courage, vision, and unwavering belief in a better future for us all.

This past year has been one of soaring highs and d

This past year has been one of soaring highs and deeply humbling lows. I started 2024 with so much hope, believing I was finally turning Fad2Fresh into something truly special—a home, a haven, a dream realized. But when I lost the shop, it felt like everything I had poured my heart into was slipping away. It was devastating, like the ground had been pulled from beneath me.

For a while, I didn’t know how I’d keep going. But even in the darkest moments, I found light in the love and support of my family, friends, and all of you. The Andersonville community wrapped me in their warmth and reminded me that Fad2Fresh wasn’t just a shop. It was a place where memories were made, stories were shared, and connections grew. It was never just about the space—it was about the people who made it special.

2024 was tough—it taught me about resilience and humility in ways I didn’t see coming. But it also taught me that sometimes, falling apart is part of the process of coming back stronger. This year wasn’t just a loss; it was a season of growth.

Now, as I look ahead, I’m not just planning to get back on my feet—I’m determined to rise higher than ever. Because let’s be real: falling is a part of life. But how you get back up? That’s where the real story is.

To everyone who has stood by Fad2Fresh, I can’t thank you enough. Your love, your loyalty, and your belief in what I’ve built mean everything to me. I’ve got big plans, and I can’t wait to share them with you. Here’s to 2025—a fresh start, bigger dreams, and something greater on the horizon.

Every Year my mom buys a REAL Christmas Tree🎄

Every year she carries it up three flights of stairs, decorate it for two days and puts as many teddy bears as she can find all over it. This has been a tradition since I was a little girl in some ways. I think traditions are weird, but this one I can stand behind. I loved being able to spend time with her this Christmas and hopefully you all were able to spend it with your family friends and loved ones.
